Edible Trails 2022 and 2023 were successfully held. Thanks to all people who visited. Waiting for news of 2024 from BMFCo-op

So what is Blue Mountains Grown? It is the registered business of an enthusiastic local organic small-holder with a mini orchard.

Produce includes seasonal chemical free fruits, artisan jams & chutneys. It also grows unusual and hard-to-grow fruiting plants from seed and herbs tolerant to the Mountains extreme climate and seasons. In there are a few amazing flowering herbs such as anise hysopp and thriving English hollyhocks.

Many edible fruiting bushes prefer a warmer climate, but thinking ahead to my location with climate changes, I punted on guavas, avocados and tamarillos, which are thriving.

The yearly mountains Edible Trail describes my garden as 'companion', but it is probable I am using certain priciples of permaculture such as experimenting growing native trees with deeper roots amongst my citrus. My coastal banksia for example provides shade and windbreaks and home for birds.

This Hazelbrook edible garden has featured in the last two Blue Mountains Edible Trails (link). This is a welcome opportunity to have idea exchanges with visits from the community (old & new). Growing tips, fixes, skills. Also the sale of the garden's produce, is an exciting celebration of all the hard work.

At other times visits to the garden can be made by appointment. Contact Details below:
